Zwingli was born on New Year's Day 1484 as a son of a rich farmer in Wildhaus and got a humanistic education and was long a diligent student of Erasmus. In his first years he got lessons from his uncle Bartolomeus, after this he studied in Basel, Bern and finally at the university in Wenen. He studied much and followed many different studies. The Lord watched at him. Zwingli met Wittenbach, Wittenbach was a professor of Latin and Greek and always said to Zwingli to read and research the Bible. Zwingli did this, the Lord blessed this. During this study he discovered more and more that the Roman Catholic Church had lots of errors. He did not left the Catholic Church, but wanted a reformation from the Catholic Church, but Rome does not want to go back to the Bible. This is the big difference with Martin Luther, Luther broke with the Catholic Church, Zwingli never did.
